History of the Breed

The Australian Labradoodle breed dates back to the 1980's and was carefully developed over multiple generations. The focus was on temperament, coat, planned matings with of highest goal on quality through diligent health testing. Sizes of the Breed

Currently there are 3 size ranges of the breeds, defined by measuring from the ground to the wither, the highest point on the dog’s shoulder blades. 
  • Miniature Range - Between 14-16 inches
  • Medium range - Between 17-20 inches 
  • Standard range - Between 21-24 inches ​

Australian Labradoodles coat types fall into one of following three categories: Fleece, Wool or Hair
